A buzzy neighbourhood cocktail bar with a soft spot for Hi-Fi by Chef-Owner Keirin Buck & The Lo & Behold Group.

There’s always room for a plate so fresh and fun. Plump, buttery Hokkaido scallops make a splash on the menu, with intricate additions of Japanese sea grapes and tomatillos.

Balancing flavours is always tricky. Here, you can enjoy the gift of the ocean, clean and bright, in hand with a briny dirty martini. The best of both worlds, really.

The red hot plates are spinning as we gear up for October’s music, 12” records, and then some. Trust that we’ve got some seasoned and new servings this month, so come on in with keen ears.

We kick off with Philson’s P return to his crates, while Kalen kalenp / teng and Haziq HZQ promise new sounds to the living room thereafter.

We’ve got Choo chOO and Bryan Bryan Jed Soh sharing records for a first, whilst returning champs Ryan .weatherman and Leland Leland 陈壘 continue on, with records in tow. Zai zai 🇸🇬 and John T ⓡ Ｔ JØ𝓱𝐍 return to bring us surprises, naturally, — and finally, we welcome Vietnam via US’ Jimmy Gia Huy Jimmy Gia Huy for a special Sunday nightcap to round off the week.

A big bowl of comfort, that’s how we like to welcome you in.

Check out one of our new favourites — our nduja and tripe pasta, inspired by the classic Tuscan trippa alla fiorentina.

Swirly abbracci pasta envelopes house-cured nduja and tripe that has been braised for hours. It’s truly a work of time and texture.

The warm sounds of the living room come from our beloved Altec speakers, restored in Indonesia and flanking each side of the bar.

Drawing inspiration from their unmistakable curves and waves, our new logo takes after its horns that sit atop. To be in the middle of it all, with warm sound all around and drink in hand – that’s the spirit in the name of Bar Bon Funk.

We turned 2 last month and it was a truly magical one. Our friends from the Philippines and the ones on the decks — Kyle from Big Fuzz, Ape April Luistro, Pat Patrick Gerard Agcaoili Elicaño, and Toppings Jake Camacho — thank you for throwing a party for the books!

It’s always incredible to see our living room packed with friends and family clinking glasses shoulder to shoulder. Celebrations aside, we’re grateful for the support and love in the past year around the sun. It’s never easy, but here we are, seven days a week, doing the best we can.

Here’s to more wonderful things for us!

A gentle start to the month follows after weeks of partying, with returning heroes and new guests aplenty.

September kicks off with Shutter Rhythms’ Suffyan , while NYC’s Marco Weibel Marco Weibel drops back in on his Asian tour.

From here on out, we’re deep diving into crates and sounds – brewer Afiq MUSIC, MERCH & SUCH FUN.. 🇵🇸, debutant Mich and Bussy Temple’s *Bruce howrøng keep it flowing nicely. The Analog Vault’s Daniel K .jpg makes an anticipated appearance, while dancer Rio Rio Tang, the Funk’s Leland Leland 陈壘, and Revision’s Josh Josh / Gahmen round off another electric roster.

If you haven’t heard, we’ve got some new cocktails and plates on the menu of late. Swing by, get loose, and don’t be a stranger.

* howrøng’s set has been rescheduled to earlier in August. There will be someone else on the decks on 5 Sep.
