Master Chef Sui Chuan Wu with 33 years of expertise, is the principal consultant of Xi Yan. He has vast cooking experiences and worked in many well-known local hotels and restaurants. He is also winner of many local and international culinary competitions.
If you love crabs, then our Signature Steamed Crabs in Nyonya Sauce is a must-try for you. Master Sui has injected new ideas and introduced a new take to this familiar dish. The bright and thick special Nyonya sauce drizzles on the steamed crab and the resulting fragrance is simply irresistible. As if it wasn’t enough, wait until you savour the sweet and spicy after-taste in this dish.
Chef Chen Zhiming from Hong Kong has garnered over 40 years of experience in the culinary industry, specialising in Cantonese Cuisine. His unparalleled knowledge of Traditional Cantonese Cuisine has also contributed major innovative elements into the offerings at Xi Yan. His specialty Rice Net Seafood Rolls is made out of thin Vietnamese rice nets that are fried to a golden crispy brown and melts in your mouth. Together with prawn, scallops, Po***ck roe - a rich, fresh and savoury dish is created.
Chef He Yong Cai brings to the table his own special version of the XO sauce. Carefully created with select ingredients such as Jin Hua Ham, scallops, and fresh shrimps, the resulting taste is a combination of savoury sweet fragrant sauce, that is light and refreshing. This XO sauce is the key ingredient for many of Xi Yan’s fresh and live seafood dishes such as Bamboo Clam, and Pacific Geoduck Clam.
Authentic Hong Kong Style Dim Sum
To top it off, Xi Yan’s Hong Kong Style dim sum is also something that diners can’t miss!
During lunch time, the restaurant offers more than 20 traditional Hong Kong Dim Sum fare. This range is by Hong Kong Dim Sum Chef Ye Bing Xing. Some of the popular Dim Sum are Fresh Shrimp Dumplings, Princess Snow Mountain Bun, Custard Bun, Shao Mai, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, Shark Fin Soup Dumplings etc.
Chef Ye’s original Princess Snow Mountain Bun comprises a crispy pastry that is soft, sweet and fragrant. The meat is mixed with fresh milk and gives it a unique complexity.
Leek and Shrimp Dumplings is another signature dimsum, that is very nutritious and is highly recommended. The thin dumpling skin has a QQ texture and the filling is fresh and juicy. We assure you won’t stop at just one.
Dine in Elegance and Comfort
Xi Yan provides both indoor and Al fresco dining. The main dining hall is elegant and comfortable and accommodates 50 tables. There are also a banquet hall and multiple function rooms for booking for private/corporate events.
