FROM UNDER THE BED TO THE BOARDROOM: THE JOURNEY OF A GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR

Growing up in poverty, Dr. Patrick Liew faced many challenges.

Together with 7 other family members, Dr. Patrick lived in a small flat with other tenants. To make room for himself, very often, he had to sleep under his grandmother's bed.

His family had to live hand to mouth while struggling to pay for his school fees and keeping him alive. To make matters worse, he had to battle with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) while completing his formal education.

Throughout his life, he went through many failures, was conned multiple times, almost became bankrupt on a few occasions, was kidnapped, and almost lost his life on at least four occasions.

How did Dr. Patrick overcome these challenges to become the Chairman of a public listed company?

How did he help list three different businesses in three different securities exchanges across three countries?

Currently, Dr. Patrick is actively involved in helping companies transform their business models, globalise their businesses, and leverage the capital market. He is also zealously involved in the civic, humanitarian, philanthropic, and charity circles.

The hypercar, Vanda Dendrobium, made its debut during the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.

The name and design of the car has been inspired by the Vanda orchid, Singapore’s national flower.
