It's with some sadness that we have to announce that, as many of you have heard, Old Empire will be closing its doors for the last time in early August. Unfortunately the landlord has decided to renovate the mall, so after 3 years of beer fuelled fun, it's time for us to go... But we won't go quietly!

As a thank you to all of our guests past and present we're inviting you to drink with us during July as we do away with our Happy Hour for a "Happy Month" instead! All our draft beers at Happy Hour prices, all night, every day, all month! That means Stella pints at $10+ until 8pm and $12+ from 8 to closing, and all our craft beer pints at $11+ and then $13+ after 8.

Come join us in July and be happy too!

Also from Sambrook's of London comes the Powerhouse Porter, with fresh kegs now back on tap for a limited time.

From the brewer: "Powerhouse Porter was the first beer launched in our seasonal range. As with Junction and Wandle Ale, we found our inspiration right on our doorstep. In naming our porter, we only had to look to Battersea’s most famous landmark, Battersea Power Station. After all, a strong rich beer needs a strong name.

I personally love porters – the richness and complexity from the different malts, the roasted coffee aroma, and that feeling of pure satisfaction when supping one by a warm log fire. If you like porters I am sure that you won’t be disappointed by our modern take on this classic London beer style. If you have yet to try a porter….well what are you waiting for?"
