Chinese New Year is just around the corner. 🧧
It has been a tough year for many F&B operators. Beyond business challenges, customers have become more demanding and, at times, less forgiving.
Throughout the year, we have received feedback and complaints. We hear them, and we will continue to improve where we can. At the same time, we hope for mutual understanding and give-and-take. There is no need for division or hostility - we all just want a little peace and progress.
Today, we’ve received a complaint from a customer insisting to speak to “the boss” because we were playing CNY music. While we respect personal preferences, we also believe it’s okay for different places to have their own atmosphere. If it’s not your cup of tea, it’s perfectly fine to choose another place.
We cannot cater to everyone. We are not perfect.
We are just a small F&B establishment trying to make an honest living - just like everyone else. Our staff are also human, dealing with daily life challenges just like you and me. We have staff who are not local, far from their home comforts and family + loved ones, making a living here in our island city. They try their best even when they feel their worst. Some days they may not conceal their emotions as well, but we are all only human. A little empathy goes a long way,
To customers who feel we may not meet your expectations, we sincerely wish you find a place better suited to you. And to those who have supported us, encouraged us, and accepted our imperfections - we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness and understanding are what keep us going in these challenging times in the F&B service industry.
The team at Essen @ Anchorvale wishes all our beloved customers good health and prosperity in the coming Year of the Horse. 🐎✨
