Even after more than a decade of racing, Shanti Pereira still gets nervous.

It is a reminder that nerves are part of competing and that courage means stepping onto the track and performing despite them.

Behind every race are years of hard work, discipline and resilience. As Shanti prepares to represent Singapore again on the Asian stage, let’s get behind her and Team Singapore! 🇸🇬💪

All the best at Aichi-Nagoya 2026, Shanti! 🔥

Across 10 events, Lucas recorded:
100m 11.64 (-2.4)
Long Jump 6.61m (-0.2)

Coached by Simon Lau, Head Coach of Singapore Sports School Track and Field Academy, Lucas adds a new chapter to Singapore’s decathlon history. A great afternoon at Hua Yi Secondary School! 🙌

Our coaches recently conducted a preparation workshop for students ahead of the inaugural West Zone Athletics Meet, guiding them through the basics and competition procedures for the relay, sprint, jump and throw events.

The session helped students better understand what to expect on competition day while building their confidence for the upcoming meet.

Taking place on 26 October 2026 at Hwa Chong Institution, the meet will feature student-athletes / student-volunteers from Jurong Secondary School, Hua Yi Secondary School, Fuhua Secondary School, Kent Ridge Secondary School and Methodist Girls’ School.

Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to the meet! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
