Larmandier-Bernier’s “Longitude” is a reflection of the Côte des Blancs’ chalky spine — Vertus, Oger, Avize, Cramant, Chouilly — where the chalk sits just beneath the surface, shaping a wine that feels taut, mineral, and quietly persistent from start to finish.
Under Pierre and Sophie Larmandier, the estate has been farmed biodynamically since the late ’90s. In the cellar, things are kept just as thoughtful — wild fermentations, ageing in old oak, and a blend of both a single harvest and a perpetual reserve that’s been evolving since 2004.
The result is something precise, low in dosage, and full of energy. Not soft, not showy — just clean, structured, and deeply satisfying in its own way. If you enjoy Champagnes with a bit of tension and a chalky backbone, this is one to spend some time with. 🥂
