Once upon a time...
Hello , We are a Romanian cattery, we breed Sphynx cats for long time now and , ONE DAY, we felt like something was missing , we needed something new into our lifes. Not just our breeding life, but personal life 📷
Actually we had no clue that the “werefolf” cat it’s real , but we once said “how about if there would be a cat changing it’s look, it would be soooo amazing , like having another pet over and over again.... IMPOSSIBLE 📷” . So like I said, we were looking into another cat breeds and we decided to get a Serval actually. Or at least a Savannah, but Serval was our first option. We actually asked around to make sure what papers we need in order to own one (since they are not domestic), we tought about the kind of place the cat would need... we talked with some breeders (there was the hardest part because not many reputable breeders and actually none close to us as we are in Ro). Then , one day, I was on Facebook and BOOM, a viral video with a Lykoi. And I said “this look like a...wolf” and then we said this is it! Now let’s read some about it, let’s ask around, find some breeders... etc. After searching and asking around, I found the right breeder, the founding breeder actually , Brittney Gobble, she described me the breed and told me some important things and then if I remember good , I told her exacly that day that we will be waiting for new litters because we will want 2 babies : a boy and a girl 📷 We had to wait a lot, since we also wanted to breed them and the breeder needed two unrelated litters. I think all this process , from the moment we start loooking for breeders and the day we got them, took about a year, but it was so much worth it! Of course there was this big question : how will we react to all that hair , since we only had Sphynx cats...so hairless! I was SO AFRAID of it because honestly even when I am around my dogs I feel like their hair is in my mouth :)) So I have to admit, I was scared of it...only thing that I was afraid of with having a new breed! But I can tell now, it is not a problem! We got them in September and now is December , Zayev (the boy) already had his first molt and I had no problem with the hair! And they are so amazing, that I would honestly don’t care about the hair even if it would be tons around me!
This is our story, how it all started and we are so happy with them and it was best choice we ever made getting them! Nymeria and Zayev, they are our first 2 Lykois and I say first 2 because there will be more soon and honestly I don’t know how many :)) So guys, follow us, support our page and you will get to know how big our family will grow 📷
