Charity Event 🚨🚨🚨
Whisky, Service Dogs, Food Pop Up & Live Music.
Saturday 20th | Starts at 18:00h
Last March we ran an event that resulted in few donations of half bottles of whisky, and as promised these are now ready to be used to support a local charity. After lots of consideration we finally found an institution we feel like deserves our support for our shared values and vision about family animals.
We chose ÂNIMAS Cães de Assistência , a non-profit association of national reach, that is based in S. João Hospital, Porto, and it’s the only Portuguese entity that is part of Assistance Dogs International (ADI). Their mission is to capacitate and transform the lives of those in need for functional diversity, to promote their autonomy, inclusion and well being through assistance dogs and programs developed for intervention in hospitals, schools, care homes, etc, with educational and social needs.
We’ll have director Abílio Leite, to come by and explain in depth the work and reach of their institution right before the start of our tasting of 5 hard-to-find-wonderful-whiskies, led by the house experts. 75% of the tasting revenue will be donated to this institution (full value minus IVA and 2% para managerial costs). After the tasting is finished we have food available by Clandestino Pop Up, and live music in our events room, with Athron - a U.S. artist, who after visiting our bar, discovered his favourite whisky spot in Portugal and a place where he can play his music. This will be a free entry gig, kindly granted by the artist in support of the event and charity.

3. The Red Comyn 12yo, Single Malt Scotch - Donated by Claxtons U.K. Indy bottlers and Joao.
4. Ben Nevis 15yo, Single Cask Kintra Whisky - Donated by Wouter Kars, Netherlands.
5. Auchroisk 20yo, Single Cask - Donated by Thomas Bowens, Netherlands.
