As the nights get darker and colder we bring you the ultimate experience of power and smoke.

For the first time in Portugal, only at Eddie's you can try Bruichladdich's newest release for the most peated wh**ky in the market: Octomore Seventeen.

Join us on Saturday the 26th October for a special night with Octomore:

17:00h - Doors Open;

18:00h -Tasting with the three newest edition of Octomore Series with 17.1, 17.2 and 17.3;

19:30h - Food available from Clandestino Pop Up (food not included in your ticket);

20:30h - Alex Basil, Bar Manager for Black Rock Wh**ky Bar in London, takes over The Klub with a special cocktail menu in a dark, cozy vibe.

21 to 23h - Live music with Piano & Double Bass providing the night's soundtrack.

Three researchers from the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences (IA-Portugal) are landing at Eddie’s for a night of wh**ky and Astronomy wonders. They’ll have lots of images and even videos to display a bit of their work. Each presentation will have one wh**ky that relates to their area of expertise. There will be a moment for listening, ask your questions and toast the wh**ky. Expect incredible views, surprising facts and a dive into the wonders of the universe through the lens of those who study it.

•⁠ ⁠João Lima is a professor from the faculty of sciences of the university of Porto and a researcher at IA. He will talk about space weather, the sun, aurora borealis and why it happens and we see it. This talk will be paired with a Kyro Malted Rye from Finland.

•⁠ ⁠Diogo Sant'Ana is a member of the science communication team at IA and the planetarium of Porto. With expertise in astro-photography, Diogo will talk about the night sky in the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere. This talk will be enhanced by a Starward Limited Distillery Release, Lagavulin Cask Finish, from Australia (only available bottle in Portugal).

•⁠ ⁠Bachar Wehbe is a researcher at the faculty of sciences at the University of Lisbon and part of the instrumentation team of IA. He will talk about telescopes and instruments and the recent Portuguese solar telescope installed in Chile whilst sipping on Ardbeg An Oa, Scotland.

Another accolade for us, in form of an article written in a highly respected magazine of the wh***ey world.
This one in America.

Last January the wonderful Sara Havens visited us with some friends after a tour of Porto’s vineyards and left the bar with a great impression of our selection of whiskies (not just bourbons) and service to the industry. So much that wanted to write an article for Bourbon+ Bourbon+ and we couldn’t feel more proud of this shout out.

Charity Event 🚨🚨🚨
Wh**ky, Service Dogs, Food Pop Up & Live Music.

Saturday 20th | Starts at 18:00h

Last March we ran an event that resulted in few donations of half bottles of wh**ky, and as promised these are now ready to be used to support a local charity. After lots of consideration we finally found an institution we feel like deserves our support for our shared values and vision about family animals.

We chose ÂNIMAS Cães de Assistência , a non-profit association of national reach, that is based in S. João Hospital, Porto, and it’s the only Portuguese entity that is part of Assistance Dogs International (ADI). Their mission is to capacitate and transform the lives of those in need for functional diversity, to promote their autonomy, inclusion and well being through assistance dogs and programs developed for intervention in hospitals, schools, care homes, etc, with educational and social needs.

We’ll have director Abílio Leite, to come by and explain in depth the work and reach of their institution right before the start of our tasting of 5 hard-to-find-wonderful-whiskies, led by the house experts. 75% of the tasting revenue will be donated to this institution (full value minus IVA and 2% para managerial costs). After the tasting is finished we have food available by Clandestino Pop Up, and live music in our events room, with Athron - a U.S. artist, who after visiting our bar, discovered his favourite wh**ky spot in Portugal and a place where he can play his music. This will be a free entry gig, kindly granted by the artist in support of the event and charity.

4. Ben Nevis 15yo, Single Cask Kintra Wh**ky - Donated by Wouter Kars, Netherlands.

5. Auchroisk 20yo, Single Cask - Donated by Thomas Bowens, Netherlands.

Join us for an incredible tasting with Kilchoman, hosted by our favourite Scotsman living in Portugal: Sebastian Kracun, with a special appearance by Paulo Amaro from local Cooperage J.Dias, that makes the most special casks to age some of the whiskies in the tasting.

You’ll learn about the wh**ky, cask making and wood impact on wh**ky maturation process and special relation with Portugal and this beautiful distillery in Islay, Scotland.
