🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹 # ALGARVE # PORTUGAL🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹 Much is said about the Algarve, especially now in this time of pandemic crisis. The rest of the country is very concerned with the support that the state will have to provide the Algarve so that we do not all die of hunger, devaluing the contribution that the Algarve has made to the country, as it has ALWAYS been the best TOURISM REGION! .... ❌This year there is no tourism and the Algarve is just tourism‼ ️‼ ️ NOT! THE ALGARVE IS MUCH MORE!
✅ The Algarve is:
✅ AGRICULTURE: We have the best citrus, fruits and nuts, honey, arbutus, honeydew from the country and Europe, with ours being the largest avocado plantation; We are the only ones on the continent with the capacity to produce tropical fruits; Our wine production has tripled in recent years; We produce 95% of the country's sea salt; We are world leaders in the cork industry (together with our Alentejo compadres);
✅ FISHING: We have a very rich coast, an industry that is more than 1000 years old, from where we get the best tuna, sardines, horse mackerel and so many others, not to mention our seafood; 🦀🦐🦑🐠 We are one of the largest producers of canned fish and preserves;
✅ WATER: Monchique, one of the best in the world. Its alkalinity and ph need no further explanation. 💦 💦💦 ✅ CERAMICS: The wealth of Algarvian ceramics (tiles, tiles ...) is known worldwide; ✅ WIND AND SOLAR ENERGY: I don't think I need to explain here right? There is a huge potential in the exploration of energy with the movement of the waves!
✅ REAL ESTATE AND CONSTRUCTION: Much of the development of the Algarve has served as a livelihood for displaced NATIONAL companies, who have earned a lot from the works done in the ALGARVE! 🏗🏗🏗🏢🏢🏚🏚🏦🏦
✅ RIA FORMOSA: One of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal, our estuary is the largest natural and animal and plant diversity park in Europe. 🏝🏝🏝
✅ ETHNOGRAPHIC HERITAGE: Popular festivals, folklore, archeology, forts, castles, lighthouses, churches, the Mediterranean diet, the Algarvian speaking, our caravel Boa Esperança. 🎼🎼 Get to know our people truly! We even have universities to train our doctoral engineers etc ... 🔖🔖👩🏫👩🏫🧑🏽🏫🧑🏽🏫 And also a huge potential for agribusiness, agro-industry, information and communication technologies and all types of industry ....
❌Oil exploration we don't want ... you can keep it‼ ️ But in one thing they are right. Despite this wealth, the whole Algarve is not rich and I explain why.
Simple, our wealth does not stay here ... it goes straight to the state coffers, which they then distribute as it suits them. So my friends, think carefully before talking about the Algarve, as we are probably the only region in the country capable of being autonomous.
This text does not intend to devalue the rest of the country in any way. I just intend to show a little more of our Algarve. VIVA PORTUGAL! LIVE THE ALGARVE!

Use local shops instead of the big ones buy local produce/ honey/firewater/ hand bags made of cork. Eat the local fish caught freshly every day eat fresh vegetables🍅🥕🥒and fresh fruit🍊🍋🍌🍇🍎.
Eat and drink from our local cake shops/ bread 🍞🥐🥗🍨.
Use local restaurants🍗🍖🧀🍔 and local bars🍻🍺🍷🍸to eat out and drink all of this to help all of us in the Algarve and get us back where we were.
