A Miss Can nasceu da vontade de criar um negócio ligado às conservas, recuperando, assim, uma herança de família. Foi em 1911 que a família Soares Ribeiro iniciou este negócio criando então duas fábricas de conservas. Passados 100 anos, três sócios (dois bisnetos de Luis Soares Ribeiro e uma bisneta de João Rodrigues, armazenista e distribuidor da 1º fábrica de conservas portuguesa) decidiram reun
ir um conjunto de conservas de peixe com qualidade superior, feitas através do método artesanal dando assim a conhecer o que Portugal tem de melhor. A Miss Can, filha de uma varina quase sereia, tem 5 personalidades diferentes com 3 latas de conservas de peixe, que se distinguem pelo tempero aplicado. Mais do que a inovação no pack quisemos criar uma experiência bem portuguesa com diferentes tipos de peixe. It was in 1911 that the Soares Ribeiro family began this business by creating two canneries. A century later, three partners (two of Luis Soares Ribeiro´s great grandchildren and a great-granddaughter of João Rodrigues, a stockist and distributor of the 1st Portuguese cannery) decided to put together a high quality selection of canned fish in an entirely artisan process, thus revealing what Portugal has best to offer. Miss Can is the daughter of a Varina that is almost a mermaid. Varina is the name given to the Portuguese women that used to wander through the streets of Portuguese coastal villages, selling fish carried in a basket. Miss Can has 5 different personalities, each personality assembled with 3 different fish cans that differ from each other by its seasoning. More than innovating in the packaging, we wanted to create a truly Portuguese typical experience, using different fish species.
