The decoration style totally art deco from the 30th made it an emblematic modern cafe in Lisbon offering food the whole day ! The new owners, Xavier and Pedro decided to keep this spirit and opened a modern French Bistrot there 9 month ago !
What is a french Bistrot ? Now it is time to tell the truth of this mysterious concept :)
In its original Parisian incarnation, it is a small restaurant, serving simple, homemade cooked and tasty meals at reasonable price with a nice glass of wine. Bistrot are defined mostly by the food they serve.
The restaurant Vertigo respects this Bistrot tradition and propose a modern, innovative and healthy cuisine. There you will discover french home-style cooking and slow-cooked food with portuguese influence, mediterranean and exotic ones.
Nowaday that everyone is looking for healthy food, having a place where products are fresh and home cooked everyday guaranty a real quality and difference. The products come from the legendary Mercado Da Ribeira whose reputation is well established. All is local, fresh, homemade, original, healthy and tasty.
To complete your experience, the wines are selected by a Portuguese specialist and come from small properties and vineyards in Portugal.

Xavier, the French chef found inspiration in his previous experiences and numerous travels around the world. Former business manager, he lived several years in Asia before to settle in Portugal. Having a professional cooking diploma, he decided to open this restaurant to share his passion with customers. His cuisine is made with heart and inspired by his travels around the world and especially in Hong Kong.
Pedro is portuguese and has already worked in many restaurants for several years. During these years, he has developed a passion for food. He loves to entertain customers and will do everything to make you have a great experience !
Then, Teresa and Marco are completing a young and dynamic team !
Teresa is a portuguese cook. She has a great experience in portuguese cuisine and brings a real value to the kitchen. Marco, an young italian cook brings his enthusiasm and of course mediterranean touch in his food.
The restaurant Vertigo is open all day long and invite you to spend a pleasant moment ! Whether you are local or visitor in the beautiful city of Lisbon, you can come and enjoy a good meal with good portuguese products cooked in relaxing atmosphere.
