I would like to thankyou again for the continued support and strength given to us with the devastating loss of our legend Aaron. This support has continued all the way to our latest disaster at the end of last year…
As you all probably know someone accidentally crashed into the bar! Yes it’s true (and it really was an accident, not a raid lol)! It genuinely is a true miracle that no one was hurt on this day and I believe that Aaron was watching over us. It was a busy day we had all been in and preparation was in full swing ahead of our big annual Christmas quiz night, but we sadly had to close , and for the first time in our history at Harry’s, sit out Christmas and the coming favourable winter months and 6 nations rugby 🥺.
The damage is more than a quick patch up (electrics, water and aluminium doors )
But may we remember how lucky we are that everyone managed to get out of the way, and it wasn’t the Christmas quiz night!
I will still try to get the camera to protect that end of the “forgotten street”! it’s definitely time to have the safety barriers like the rest of the village has.
Sadly after the loss of the original owners of Harry’s, Mika & Avert also passing with Aaron in 2024 the building was then passed down to the daughters and they have decided that it will sadly now go officially up for sale Harry’s will not re-open as Harry’s again and all acitivity has now been closed down. 😔
We love you all so much and hope that the friendships made through Harry’s carry on and you all stay in contact, look out and support each other! I really had the worst luck in the last leg of running the bar (lockdowns, Brexit, war, 3 pm football bans cancer and a car crash) but somehow I made my best memories with you all and I met some truly amazing people fNuno Machado so THANKYOU 🫶🏻
Special thanks to Kellyy Townsleyy Chelsey Cook Nuno Machado & the quizman Kevin!
