A sparkling new initiative in the Estremadura aiming to connect Portuguese, English, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Belgium, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, American, Canadian and all other nationalities living permanently or non-permanently in this region, with jazz music. In the friendly ambiance of the Sana Silver Coast hotel in Caldas da Rainha, a monthly Sunday afternoon jazz café will be held to meet,

greet, talk, see and be seen. Free admission, no reservations, informal. Initiator of the Meer Jazz Café is Dirk van Eck, the other enthousiasts in organising this new event are Lilian van Eck-van Straten, Geert Franken and Iris Franken.

Silver Coast Blues is a WestCoast bluesband influenced by artists as William Clarke T-Bone Walker, Rod Piazza,James Harman, Little Charley and the Nightcats...etc.

Just drums, double bass and trumpet, that's all the Portico Trio needed last Mais Jazz Café at PALCO CCC in Caldas da Rainha.

Portico Trio

This trio presents a repertoire that includes some original pieces as well as songs from the American songbook. The group is distinguished by its own unique sound, the result of the musicians’ diverse influences. Together, they explore elements such as rhythm, space, and timbre, always seeking the idealised sonic authenticity.

Guilherme Tiago Organ Quartet is a jazz group that channels the raw energy of classic organ bands into a modern and intense musical language. With strong melodies, close interaction and plenty of room for improvisation, the quartet delivers groove-filled performances designed to be experienced live.
