Jedno winobranie w ciągu roku?
To trochę za mało. Trzeba przeżyć coś więcej. 🍇
Podobnie jak my, uprawia wiele różnych szczepów.

One harvest a year?
That’s simply not enough. You have to experience something more. 🍇
This year, I went to harvest grapes in the Rheinhessen region, to the town of Herxheim, where the Friess w**ery is located.
The w**ery is run by Marco — the sixth generation of his family involved in w**e production. The estate covers 10 hectares. Like us, they grow many different grape varieties: Riesling, Chardonnay, Weissburgunder, Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder — some of the most popular varieties, known all over the world — but there are also traces of previous generations, such as Morio Muskat, planted by Marco’s grandfather. Interestingly, Regent is also grown in the vineyard. It is cultivated on a large scale in Germany, but it seems that its future here has already been decided.
Why did I go there?
For the experience. I wanted to see what it is like to work in a place where w**e has been made for generations, to discover a different perspective on w**e production and to better understand a market that differs so much from the one we know in Poland.
This perspective is invaluable. It allows us to look at w**e from a different angle, draw our own conclusions and, as a result, take our next steps with even greater awareness.
