The federal government is reviewing a proposal that could allow individuals to bring unlimited foreign currency into Pakistan through formal banking channels. If allowed, it could attract as much as US$ 20 billion annually and strengthen the country's external account position.

Authorities are considering changes to Section 111(4) of the Income Tax Ordinance, which currently prevents the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) from questioning the source of foreign exchange remitted through banking channels up to Rs. 5 million in a tax year.

One option under review would remove the cap altogether, subject to verification by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regarding the legitimacy of the sender and recipient.

اس پراپرٹی کے کیس میں دو بہنوں نے اپنے بھائی کے خلاف یہ کیس کیا تھا کہ ان کو ان کے والد کی پراپرٹی میں سے شرعی حصہ نہیں ملا بھائی نے گفٹڈیڈکے زریعے اپنے نام پراپرٹی کروا لی تھی ، جس پر بہنوں نے ٹرائل کورٹ میں سوٹ فائل کیا لیکن ان کا سوٹ مسترد کر دیا گیا جس پر انہوں نے اپیل فائل کی جو کہ منظور ہوئی اور پھر بھائی نے
ہائی کورٹ میں ریوزن فائل کی لیکن بھائی کی رویزن بھی خارج ہوگی اب بھائی نےسپریم کورٹ میں یہ پیٹیشن داخل کی تھی ، سپریم کورٹ نے یہ قرار دیا کہ رٹن سٹیٹمنٹ میں آفرکی قبولیت کا کوئی ذکر نہیں گفٹ ڈید کے ضروری وٹنس بھی کورٹ میں پیش نہیں کیے گۓ اور گفٹ ڈیٹ کی کاروائی ایک مجلس عام میں ہونی چاہیے تھی جو کہ نہیں کی گئی سپریم کورٹ نے بہنوں کے حق میں ہائی کورٹ کا فیصلہ برقرار رکھا اور اور بھائی کی یہ پٹیشن ڈسمس کردی
