𝐈𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨’𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐳𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 (𝐌𝐖𝐑)

You’ve heard about Ichiro Akuto, right? His family have been in the alcoholic beverage making industry since the 1600s. Ichiro’s father ran the Hanyu distillery and began experimenting with whisky making until his unfortunate bankruptcy. Ichiro then founded his own distillery, named Chichibu, located in Saitama, just outside of Tokyo. From the cracking Ichiro’s Malt range, this is a smooth, apple-y Japanese blended malt, almost certainly comprised of Hanyu & Chichibu (where it was matured, vatted and bottled).

Wonderfully floral, fruity, and spicy, with an elegant dance of aromas including rose, lychee, saffron, and chocolate. These delicate notes create an inviting and artful scent profile.

Characterised by freshness, it unfolds gracefully with heady floral tones and subtle white truffle nuances, refined, balanced, and intriguingly complex.

Lingering notes of rose, lychee, saffron, and chocolate persevere on the palate, providing a beautifully round and persistent close.

𝐌𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐤𝐲𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 & 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝟏𝟐 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭
Strenght: 55%ABV

Miyagikyo was founded in 1969 on the island of Honshu (the biggest of the four Japanese main islands), built in a valley landscape. The whole production process in the distillery (also called 'The Innovator') is managed by computers. The eight pot stills and two coffrey stills (added in 1998) are heated by steam. The house style is subscribed as "round and generous, yet gentle and delicate".

The Miyagikyo 12 Years Old is aged in sherry casks, for "increased body and complexity". It is characterized by "a fruity noise with a hint of vanilla and a sweet, well-balanced palate."
