With the successful completion of another meaningful learning session, we officially wrap up the third set of the Bar Lecture Series featuring Civil Law and Remedial Law.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Atty. Glenn Luansing for dedicating his time and sharing his expertise during the Civil Law lectures conducted last May 19–20, 2026. His discussions provided valuable guidance and strengthened our understanding of fundamental legal concepts essential to Bar preparation.

We also extend our gratitude to Atty. Christian Villasis for leading the Remedial Law sessions last May 21–22, 2026, and for sharing practical insights and knowledge that enriched the learning experience of everyone in attendance.

To our DVOREF students, barristers, and alumni—thank you for continuously showing up, participating, and investing in your growth. Your enthusiasm and dedication transformed these sessions into a collaborative and meaningful academic experience.

Another milestone accomplished as we officially close the second set of the Bar Lecture Series, centered on Taxation Law.

We proudly express our gratitude to Dr. Virginia Jeannie Lim for sharing her knowledge, experience, and expertise during the two-day lecture series conducted last May 16–17, 2026 at AV HALL 1&2, DVOREF College of Law. Through her discussions and guidance, participants were given the opportunity to deepen their understanding of one of the most challenging yet essential areas of law.

To our fellow DVOREF students, barristers, and alumni—thank you for making this initiative meaningful through your active participation, curiosity, and dedication to continuous learning. Your commitment to showing up and growing together reflects the spirit of academic excellence and preparation for the Bar.

As we conclude this second installment of the series, we carry forward not only new knowledge but also renewed motivation and confidence for the road ahead. May each lecture continue to strengthen our foundation and remind us that every effort invested today contributes to tomorrow’s success.

Leading the discussion is 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀, a towering figure and a recognized expert in Philippine Remedial Law. A recipient of the prestigious Justice Arsenio Dizon Memorial Award in Remedial Law, he has shaped procedural law at the highest levels, serving as the Chairman of the Committee of Experts in Remedial Law at the University of the Philippines Law Center (UPLC) and as a member of the Committee tasked by the Supreme Court to revise the Rules of Civil Procedure. A veteran educator and legal scholar, Atty. Villasis formerly served as the Associate Dean of the University of Manila College of Law and currently brings an unparalleled reach to legal education as a faculty member in 18 law schools, a premier bar reviewer in more than twenty (20) bar review centers nationwide, and the Review Director of the Villasis Law Center, while also standing as one of the country's leading lecturers for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).

With a distinguished and deeply diversified general law practice, Atty. Villasis is the Managing Partner of the Law Firm of Villasis and Partners and heads the Litigation Department of the Millar, Villasis, Pangilinan Law Office. His extensive expertise spans civil, criminal, corporate, and commercial litigation, labor-management relations, real estate transactions, intellectual property enforcement, and admiralty practice.
