This event marks a convergence of extremes - a transnational communion of sound militancy and resistance through noise, endurance, and raw expression.

Inspired by the legacy of the Wha Chi Chinese Guerrilla Unit, a Chinese-Filipino resistance group that fought alongside local forces during the liberation of the Philippines, the performance reflects on solidarity through struggle - reimagined as a contemporary act of sonic defiance and cultural exchange.

Torturing Nurse, a pioneering figure in China’s 🇨🇳 noise underground and one of the most enduring harsh noise acts active for over twenty-five years, brings his uncompromising vision to Manila. The event will gather noise militias from across Southeast Asia and Europe, uniting ahead of the BONES 2026 assault in Jakarta 🇮🇩 this coming May - a transnational offensive dedicated to pushing the boundaries of extreme sound performance.

The night will also feature the special participation of Filipino noise players and heaviest bands from the hardcore & punk main arteries of the 🇵🇭 Philippine underground;  amplifying the shared energy of regional collaboration and resistance through sound.

For Jaw Surgery, whose work has been profoundly shaped by Torturing Nurse’s raw aesthetic and philosophy, hosting this event is both homage and confrontation- a shared act of endurance, friendship, and sonic annihilation.
