Happy Sunday…from our farm kitchen to yours! Today, we start our early morning in the commissary with a deepened appreciation of the majestic two mountains that greet us each day- Mt.Talamitam and Mt. Batulao. Standing between these two mountains, our vineyard and farm kitchen is blessed with incredible fresh produce from varied farms around us. Here, we are blessed to have access to the freshest! Here, farm-to-table is genuine!

“Olive Rose brand is not just about delicious food and beverage experiences- we aim for something MORE meaningful than cooking delicious. While we work hard daily to excel in what we do, we are not singularly driven by the goal of cooking the best version or the most delicious version of this and that. We are not motivated by the goal of being the best in the industry. DELICIOUS can be confusing. What is delicious to you may not be delicious to another person. To strongly assert one’s delicious can denote a sense of power and superiority. Imagine how many food establishments and restaurants are regularly impacted (and even “destroyed”) by bloggers/vloggers’ personal definition of “delicious” (and what is NOT delicious)! Olive Rose brand is more motivated by KINDNESS - in exercising our culinary philosophy in the kindest way possible! And that is not limited to choosing ingredients that are kind to the planet- moreso, we work mindfully everyday to make sure we can serve our guests with kindness, that we can be kind and be positively impactful to all our employees, that the business we do everyday can impact our country in a good way and create life-changing opportunities for others. As a wine commentator and Chef, I no longer desire to be “starred” or to be the best in the industry. Instead, I am focusing my work in helping create more jobs for Filipinos, in curating more partnerships with Filipino farmers and artisans so we can showcase more products from our own land, in utilizing my global connections, reputation & expertise to amplify how beautiful and memorable Philippines is and how warm, caring and hospitable Filipinos are. I am also more intentional with how I perform my duties everyday as a Chef and restaurateur towards creating more kind and inclusive workplaces for my employees. As an example, we are known to hire many from the LGBTQ community. In our Ayala Malls Manila Bay branch Olive Rose-The Farmhouse Table, the front-of-the-House radiates with happiness and enthusiasm ran by LGBTQ employees who wear proudly their sense of identity. At Olive Rose, we do high-definition farmhouse and artisanal cooking that extends beyond the food menu. We are also home to SERIOUS coffee drinkers- to connoisseurs who know their coffee beans! We are the brand behind the Liberica-based Kapeng Bukid which honours the over 300 yr.old coffee-roasting techniques of Batangueños. This is the coffee that will change the way you think of our local Kapeng Barako.


Olive Rose Winey Coffee and Merlot Latte are our original recipes that crosses over winemaking techniques towards fermenting coffee beans. These coffees do NOT have alcohol but are meant to convey the characteristics and nuances of delicious wines. Our Merlot Latte is NOT to be missed!

At Olive Rose Vineyard and Farm Kitchen, we are serious about our pizzas and breads . Our artisanal techniques of breadmaking start with inoculating wild yeasts using local fruits found within our (vineyard) ecosystem. Situated at the heart of Nasugbu’s sugarcane community, our bread program’s primary wild yeast is out of tubo (sugarcane). We also inoculate from rambutan, Nasugbu mangoes and guyabano.

When you “mekus mekus” it right, you can end up with something extraordinary and !😉😊Thank you to viral vlogger Mr. Nobodydudy whose comedic take on “mekus mekus” (mix mix) inspires our reflections on when fresh, local ingredients are mixed together and when by the transformative power of our hands we create something delicious and memorable. Our ORIGINAL Buko Salad Pie is testimony to that- a thoughtful medley of tropical fruits that only an elegant, velvety custard and flaky, butter crust can harmonize rightfully so!

Tasting Notes: "Bright sweet fruit, chiselled dark earth, waxy midpalate of brown sugar and caramel over subdued acidity. Ineffable finish that lingers long. WORLDCLASS." Roasted in clay-pots and mango wood chips, our aim to preserve the natural characters of our local liberica while bringing forth the memories of how Batangueños enjoy their kapeng barako in the olden days. We are very proud of roasting locally-sourced liberica beans harvested from the next barangay. We truly are hyper-local!

We are incredibly proud of our breads. NO commercial yeast is used in the process of baking our breads. We nurture WILD yeasts (out of tubo/sugarcane, mangoes, rambutan and guyabano) from our own ecosystem in such that our breads have Nasugbu’s “signature” in them— a real “taste of place”! Also because of wild yeast and fermentation, our breads are able to develop more complex flavours and textures. Our breads are lovingly handcrafted using Old World artisanal techniques and baked fresh daily by our in-house breadmaster.


If you dine at Olive Rose, every meal starts with a FREE basket of our artisanal breads ( valued at P350).
