PAPABO Pirate Beach – A Note to the Community
PAPABO Pirate Beach was developed to enhance the experience around Moalboal’s world-famous Sardine Run—one of the main reasons visitors come here.
For years, this beachfront lot was in poor condition: damaged structures, lack of sanitation, and an overall neglected appearance. At night, it was dark and uninviting. After extensive coordination with the LGU and DENR, we were finally able to clear and transform the area into a clean, open space. Today, many people enjoy the sunset, relax, and spend time there.
We would like to address a few points:
• Temporary Toilet Situation
We are currently preparing the required documents for ECC clearance before installing our own facilities. In the meantime, we have arranged access to nearby toilets. This is a temporary solution until full compliance is completed.
• Music and Entertainment
We provide background music and occasional DJ or live bands, always within the noise limits set by the Municipality of Moalboal.
• Changes in the Area
We understand that this development has changed the environment, especially for long-time residents, and we apologize for any inconvenience. At the same time, investments like this help improve Moalboal’s appeal, create jobs, and support the local economy.
• Open Communication
We are approachable and open to discussion. There is no need for anonymous complaints—please feel free to speak with us directly so we can find solutions together.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue to improve the area for both the community and our visitors.
Let’s work together to make Moalboal even better 🌅
