PALAY NA BUGBOG SA BUKBOK? 😢🥊🛎️

📬 Kadalasang tanong ng mga ka-PALAY sa PhilRice Text Center: Paano iiwasan ang pag-atake ng bukbok sa inimbak na palay?

Kapag inatake ng mga peste ang butil ng palay, mataas ang tsansa na hindi na rin tutubo ang binhi 😟😥💔

🌾Sa pag-iwas:
✅Linisin at patuyuin agad ang mga butil. Dapat nasa 11-14% ang halumigmig ng binhi na iimbakin.
✅Gumamit ng malinis na sako na paglalagyan ng butil at paleta o patungang kahoy na paglalagyan ng mga sako para sa maayos na bentilasyon.
✅Tiyaking malinis ang imbakan. Mag-spray ng insektisidyo laban sa pesteng bukbok. Tanggalin ang mga lumang palay na posibleng inatake na ng bukbok. Mas mainam kung ihiwalay ang bagong ani na butil sa luma. Ihiwalay din sa mga kamada ng palay ang mga pataba at pestisidyo.
✅Lagyan ng label ang bawat kamada na nakasaad ang barayti, petsa ng pag-iimbak, seed class, at control measures na ginawa.
✅Regular na inspeksyunin ang mga inimbak na palay para maagapan ang pag-atake ng mga daga, ibon, o amag na sanhi ng pagtaas ng halumigmig sa paligid.
✅Isagawa ang germination test kada buwan sa mga binhi na mahigit 4 na buwan ng nakaimbak upang ma-monitor ang antas ng pagtubo.
