Learning the English language isn't easy.

Find "Click here to do a test to see which level to study at" so you can take the test.

FINALLY.. MY FIRST POST! :)

Hi! Iโ€™m Trish from Philippines. Let me share my story.

Do you consider English as a stepping stone for your dreams? Are you nervous about taking IELTS?

Weโ€™re exactly in the same situation. I have one goal: I want to be fluent in that language because it would open a lot of opportunities for me. Luckily, English is part of our curriculum from preschool to college.

Like you, I had difficulties. I started learning English at an early age of 4 but believe me, itโ€™s not as smooth as it seems. I struggled with pronunciation and grammar. I sometimes encounter unfamiliar words. There were times that I wanted to throw the book away because I was losing hope.
At some point, I lost confidence in myself because of my low test scores. What kept me MOTIVATED? It was my mother.

She listened to me patiently whenever I tell her how disappointed I am every time I get a failing grade. โ€œYou have to keep trying. Failure doesnโ€™t mean that your dream is over.โ€ She told me.

Up until this day, I still remember those words. It kept me going. Thatโ€™s why I wanted to share my knowledge to my future students---- to inspire them that perseverance can go a long way.

Now, Iโ€™m a TESOL-certified teacher. I hope you share invite more people to my page so that we can learn from each other.

P.S. I will be posting weekly about English stuff. Stay tuned!

-Trish
