TAURO Pintxos, Tapas, Wine Bar Pintxos-Tapas-Wine bar Basque pintxos are essentially small tapas or canapés popular in the Basque Country and Navarra.

They get their name from the Spanish word for thorn, ‘pincho’, referring to the skewer picks that are used to keep them together. The difference in spelling comes from Basque phonetics, with ‘tx’ being preferred over the Spanish ‘ch.’

A good Bordeaux does not always need a long story.

Château Vieux Cruzelle Bordeaux Supérieur 2022 is a wine that does what a well-made Bordeaux should. Ripe red fruit, a round and easy palate, a finish with a little spice. Merlot-led, in the accessible style of the appellation. The kind of bottle you open on a Friday evening without much ceremony.

Decant it for thirty minutes. Serve it between 16 and 18°C. That is all it needs.

Every Wednesday, one dish. Done properly.

- Hanging Steak "Bavette" for PHP 650, served with fresh French fries and your choice of sauce.

Three options:

- Pepper sauce
- Red wine with shallot sauce
- Blue cheese sauce

Bavette is not a cut that appears on every menu. In France, it is what a good butcher keeps for himself. Coarse grain, strong flavor, best eaten medium to medium-rare.
