The audience left just before Marcos was called to deliver his speech. These are world leaders and their national representatives who left because there is nothing that Marcos can tell them that they have not heard about. This is the forum where the guardianship of human rights, the approval of the International Criminal Court, the ratification of the International Covenants on Human Rights, the issues of environmental stewardship, and the sharing of economic resources are discussed and approved for the good of humanity. So what does the son of a plunderer, genocidal dictator, and evader of laws and human rights decisions have to tell them that may have a positive impact on humanity? His record and his family's record are all in international news. There is nothing new to be shared. Not even the mythical stories of Tallano Gold or Yamash*ta Treasure will dissuade them from leaving the venue. They do not want to hear lies often repeated. Sad.

Nasubukan mo na bang masaktan kahit hindi naman kayo? Kung oo, congrats ha? Kasi nasa uso ka. Isa ka ba sa kanila? Mga kaibigan na may gusto sa isa’t-isa, mga mag-ex na mahal pa nila ang isa’t-isa, mga taong gusto lang i-try kung magwo-work out at mga taong naglalandian lang.
Pseudo-Relationship. Pseudo meaning “fake” or mas kilala sa tawag na Mutual Understanding (MU). Mahirap at komplikado pero masaya, ‘yon naman ang importante ‘di ba? Ang maging masaya. Pero bakit marami sa atin ang nasa ganitong uri ng relasyon? No commitment, no expectations, no rules, walang obligasyon, walang nanligaw, walang sinagot, ‘yong tipong may something special sa inyong dalawa pero hindi kayo. Hindi ka kasi sure kung ano ang role mo sa buhay niya. More than friends but less than lovers. PBB Teens? Para kiligin? For fun? O para makisabay sa uso?
Ano ba talaga kayo? Kapag hindi ka niya mahal, tanggapin mo. Huwag mo lang lolokohin ang sarili mo na balang araw, mamahalin ka din niya. May mga tao lang talaga kasing pa-fall at paasa. Alam ko, mahalaga ka sa kanya pero iba ang mahalaga lang sa mahal. Ang gulo ‘di ba? Lalo na kung makikita mo siyang may kasamang iba at lalong lalo na kung ‘yong minahal pa niya nang sobra. Minsan kasi selos ka nang selos, kaibigan ka lang pala niya. At minsan naman, selos ka nang selos, kaibigan ka lang pala. Ang sakit ‘di ba? Eh wala ka naman kasing karapatang magselos kasi magkaibigan lang kayo.
Minsan sa buhay, kailangan mo talagang umiwas para hindi ka nasasaktan. Gusto mo siyang kalimutan pero ang hirap makalimot. Kasi hangga’t sa nakikita at nakakasama mo siya, hindi pa rin mawawala ang pagtingin mo para sa kanya kahit sabihin mong wala ka nang pakialam. Parang ayan na ang paborito mong laruan, kahit sira na, ayaw mo pa ring bitawan. Hinding-hindi naman kayo maghihiwalay kasi hindi naman naging kayo.
Minsan, iisipin mo, ayos na rin ang ganitong buhay, ‘yong tipong kahit hindi kayo, lagi naman kayong magkasama o lagi mo naman siyang nakikita at nakakausap. Admit it, masakit magmahal. Mahirap ‘di ba? Kasi ang mas nagmamahal ang laging lugi. Lalo na ‘yong ganitong sitwasyon na hindi mo siya matawag na “sa’yo”, Kahit mayroong “ikaw”, at mayroong “siya”, pero walang “kayo”. Minsan, gusto mo pang sabihing mahal mo na siya pero hindi mo magawa, baka kasi mapahiya ka lang. Lalo na kung maririnig mo ang mga katagang, “Tayo ba? Ano ba kita? Ha?” Masakit! Huwag na huwag kang aasa.
Bakit ba kasi ganito? Kung saan tayo masaya, doon pa tayo tanga at doon pa maraming kontrabida. Dapat matuto ka na at lagi mong tatandaan na, “May mga tao talaga na darating sa buhay natin na pasasayahin tao sa sandaling panahon lamang.”
