Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma of Bacoor, Cavite was also awarded the Miss Megaworld Hotels & Resorts โ Sampaguita Woman of Substance title, taking home โฑ200,000 worth of stays across the 13 properties of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts Metro Manila, Batangas, Boracay, Iloilo, and Mactan.
Barcoma emerged victorious at the Miss Philippines Earth 2025 coronation held on August 11, 2025, besting 35 other candidates from across the country and Filipino communities abroad. She was crowned by her predecessor, Irha Mel Alfeche of Matanao, Davao del Sur.
Megaworld Hotels & Resorts (MHR) served as the official accommodation partner of Miss Philippines Earth 2025, hosting the 36 official candidates and reigning beauty queens at Belmont Hotel Manila, Grand Westside Hotel, Kingsford Hotel Manila, and Savoy Hotel Manila.
Sampaguita Advocacy Appreciation
As part of the pageantโs preliminary activities, Grand Westside Hotel warmly welcomed Miss Philippines Earth 2024 titleholders and the 36 official candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2025 for a special Sampaguita Advocacy Appreciation, deepening their understanding of Megaworld Hotels & Resortsโ signature brand of service.
They were welcomed by Mr. Joe Fijardo, General Manager of Grand Westside Hotel, Jorold Montelibano, General Manager of Kingsford Hotel Manila, and Charlene Go-Co, Head of Marketing Innovations at Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. Go-Co shared how the Sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines, became a powerful symbol of the groupโs hospitality philosophy.
โWhat started as a campaign has grown into an advocacy. One that our teams live out every day, through gestures experienced by the five senses,โ Co said.
The Miss Philippines Earth 2025 elemental court is composed of remarkable women who stood out for their beauty, intelligence, and commitment to environmental causes. Crowned as Miss Philippines Air 2025 is Maria Flordeliz Mabao of Antipolo, while Miss Philippines Water 2025 is Angel Rose Tambal from La Paz, Leyte. Representing the Filipino community of Tallahassee, Florida, USA, Jaymie Strickland earned the title of Miss Philippines Fire 2025. Completing the elemental court is Kriezl Jane Torres of Talakag, Bukidnon, who was named Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism 2025.
Barcoma will go on to represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2025, where she will advocate for environmental sustainability on the global stage.
