CHTM holds SC turnover ceremony, presents college orgs to the students
Officials from the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management's Student Council (CHTM-SC) conducted an oath-taking and turn over ceremony to present its new set of officers at the Tourism Management grounds last Monday, September 18.
The SC also introduced the college-based organizations before the students that same morning:
Epicurious, handled by the two advisers, Mrs. Evien Reinel B. Gulan and Mrs. Rhea Joy Marquez; Hospitality Management Executive Society (HOMES) with their adviser Ms. Cynthia Ayado, Personable Open-minded Reliable Tourism Students (PORTS) with their adviser, Mr. Mark Jefferson Mauyao; and Mix n Trix with their adviser Mr. John Paul Devera.
After the presentation of the different organizations, the incoming SC Governor, Frinces Joy Castillo and Vice Governor, Charmagne Gaye Arcega gave a brief orientation on the College's Constitution and By-laws.
Furthermore, the outgoing Governor Cris Tad-ingan presented the accomplishment report for the SY 2022-2023, while the outgoing Vice-Governor Elaisa Latupan introduced the incoming SC officers:
Angelo Basco will assume the position of Senate Representative; Castillo will serve as Governor, and Arcega Vice Governor.
Giesha Loren Fernando will take on the role of secretary, and Errol Gapasin as Treasurer; Khazmira Kate Cabanizas will be the Auditor, May Anne Orilla, the Public Information Officer (PIO).
Jenny Rose Acedo and Rutches Ananayo, the Business Managers, while Leover Miranda and Clifford Culiao as the appointed Marshalls.
Mr. Joshua Espรฃnol is the newly-appointed SC adviser.
The turnover ceremony commenced between the outgoing and incoming SC officers with the presentation of the symbolic key, followed shortly by an oath-taking ceremony wherein the latter were sworn into office.
The program was hosted by the incoming treasurer, Mr. Errol Gapasin.
The program concluded with a unity dance performed by the CHTM students and faculty.
