Someone innocently asked me why I keep backing this or why it means so much to me. I said this:

Aside from the fact that I have family and friends that have literally been saved by this, I feel strongly about anyone or anything that is oppressed or suppressed solely out of ignorance, arrogance, pride, greed, envy or any other selfish reason.

Ma*****na has been proven to be effective in treating many, many, many ailments and symptoms. None of that can be rebutted. And, more importantly, nobody has ever proved it to be harmful despite the powerful lobbying against it by big pharmas and governments that either have a stake in the profits or are too bigoted to accept new information. So you gotta ask yourself why. Especially when the reverse is true for the people that are fighting it.

They may say it’s a gateway drug. To what? Doritos? They say you’ll get addicted and commit crimes. Ask whoever it is that is peddling this crap to show a credible study that supports the paranoia. They can’t.

Yet on the flip side, how many deaths, serious illnesses, addictions, crimes and other social issues have been caused by alcohol, to***co and prescription drugs? We don’t even need a study to answer that. Because you probably know one or two people in your immediate circle that you can relate that to.

What should actually be more baffling to people is how these over the counter products remain legal, while an innocent plant that has grown peacefully for millennia remains the bad guy in all of this. That is what should outrage people. Because whether or not you will actually personally benefit from the use of medical ma*****na or not, it goes much deeper than that. It’s an assault on your civil liberties and a slap in the face of medical science.
