IN SERVICE, WE GATHER
Today, we had the privilege of serving at the GASA ni Pedro One-Stop Shop Service Caravan (8th Run) as part of our years of continuing partnership with the Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Pedro Calungsod.
📍 Archdiocesan Shrine of San Nicolas de Tolentino
📅 March 22, 2026
Held in celebration of the 27th Annual Fiesta, with the theme:
“San Pedro Calungsod, Our Companion on the Journey towards a Docile and Listening Church.”
In every parish and archdiocese, the ringing of the church bell is a call not only to worship, but to gather as a community in service.
Today, that call was lived out through GASA ni Pedro—a One-Stop Shop Service Caravan that brought together institutions, professionals, and volunteers in one shared mission: to make services accessible, responsive, and meaningful to the people.
This outreach activity included catechism sessions, medical, dental, and legal services, free haircuts, and the distribution of GASA ni Pedro gift bags to 500 indigent families—a concrete expression of faith in action.
We are guided by the examples San Pedro Calungsod known for his courage, faith, and selfless service as a young missionary who gave his life in dedication to others and St. Nicolas de Tolentino, known for his humility, compassion, and dedication to those in need. Their life reflects the heart of law and service—reminding us that justice is not only practiced in courts, but lived through compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to serve those most in need.
On behalf of our partner, the Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Pedro Calungsod led by Fr. Joh. Alden Baraan and Atty. Mary Grace H. Casano, Deputy Director of IBP NCLA, Executive Director for Legal Aid of IBP Cebu City, President of Cebu Lady Lawyers Inc. and Legal Aid Coordinator for the Gasa ni Pedro Program, we extend our sincere gratitude to all our service providers, volunteers, our Legal Aid Partners and Volunteers, and esp to the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Nicolas de Tolentino.
