The events industry is an important part of Baguio City’s economy and tourism sector. From weddings and private celebrations to corporate events, cultural activities, and public gatherings, event professionals help create experiences that contribute to the city’s reputation as a preferred destination for visitors and clients alike.
The City Government recognizes the contributions of the many individuals, businesses, and organizations that make up this industry. Among these are legitimate organizations such as the Baguio Event Workers Association (BEWA), the Baguio Wedding and Events Suppliers Organization (BWESO), the Baguio Classified League, and other groups that represent various sectors of the local events community.
These organizations may have different memberships, programs, and advocacies, but all contribute in their own way to the growth and development of the events industry in Baguio City. Through their efforts, they provide opportunities for collaboration, professional development, and the continued improvement of services within the sector.
The City Government values the role of all stakeholders in the events industry and remains supportive of initiatives that promote professionalism, responsible business practices, and opportunities for growth.
At the same time, we encourage the public to exercise due diligence when engaging event suppliers, coordinators, and service providers. Clients are advised to transact with individuals and businesses that are properly identified, transparent in their commitments, and able to provide clear agreements, official receipts, and reliable contact information.
As Baguio City continues to strengthen its position as a destination for meetings, celebrations, and special events, we encourage all members of the industry to work together in a spirit of mutual respect, cooperation, and shared commitment to excellence.
