Angeles City Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. has suspended the operations of bars, KTVs, JTVs and other entertainment establishments in Angeles City starting March 20, 2021 amid surging COVID-19 cases.

A liquor ban will also be implemented as Mayor Lazatin adopted EO No. 5 issued by Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda "reiterating the strict compliance with health and safety protocols." Governor Pineda has earlier reported a surge in COVID-19 cases in Pampanga province.

Muling binuhay ang liquor ban sa lalawigan ng Pampanga kasama ang Angeles city.

Sa public briefing ni Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda ngayong hapon, inanunsyo nito na muling maghihigpit ang lalawigan sa mga pinaiiral na health protocol dahil sa pagsirit ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa lalawigan.

Sa bisa ng executive order na napagkasunduan ng lahat ng mga local chief executive sa buong Pampanga, magsisimula ang liquor ban bukas March 20 hanggang April 05.

Sa panahon na ito, bawal ang pagbili, pagbenta at pag inom ng alak.

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has ordered the temporary closure of gyms, fitness studios and sports facilities in the face of surging COVID-19 cases and the first case of COVID-19 South African variant in the city.

Non-essential business particularly Bars, KTVs and JTVs will also operate until 10pm as the city government enforces curfew hours from 11pm until 5am.

The double-digit increase in COVID-19 cases are as follows: March 2 (10 cases); March 3 (14 cases); March 4 (21 cases); March 5 (11 cases) March 6 (11 cases); March 7 (21 cases); March 9 (19 cases); March 10 (11 cases); March 12 (26 cases); March 13 (17 cases); March 14 (22 cases); and March 15 (15 cases).

The local IATF led by Mayor Lazatin; Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center head Dr. Froilan Canlas; and City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra have recommended the temporary closure of the said establishments.
