BATTLE OF ACOUSTIC – Valentine’s Edition

OFFICIAL CONTEST MECHANICS

I. ELIGIBILITY
1. Open to solo artists or acoustic duos only.
2. Participants must be 18 years old and above.
3. All performers must register in advance with HayHay Bistro.
4. Limited slots only. Registration is first come, first served.

II. PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES
1. Each participant/group will be given one (1) performance slot.
2. Performance time: 8–10 minutes maximum, including setup.
3. Only acoustic instruments are allowed (e.g., acoustic guitar, cajón).
• ❌ No electric guitars
• ❌ No backing tracks
• ❌ No pre-recorded music
4. Songs may be original or cover songs.
5. Lyrics and performance must be family-friendly and appropriate for a public venue.

III. JUDGING CRITERIA

Performances will be judged based on the following:
• Musicality & Vocal Quality – 30%
• Stage Presence & Audience Impact – 25%
• Arrangement & Creativity – 20%
• Timing & Song Choice – 15%
• Overall Performance – 10%

TOTAL: 100%

The judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.

IV. PRIZES

🏆 Champion – ₱20,000
🥈 1st Runner-Up – ₱15,000
🥉 2nd Runner-Up – ₱10,000

Prizes will be awarded on the same night after the final performance.

VI. GENERAL RULES
1. Participants must arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled performance.
2. Failure to appear when called will result in automatic disqualification.
3. HayHay Bistro reserves the right to use photos and videos of the performances for promotional purposes.
4. Any form of disrespectful behavior toward judges, staff, or other participants will result in disqualification.
5. The management reserves the right to modify mechanics if necessary, with proper notice.
