Where the exotic centuries-old recipes meet with local ingredients to transform into unforgettable flavors that will make you come back for more. Owner and executive chef Emrah Kilicoglu pays close attention to what goes in the kitchen as well as on the restaurant floor. He personally visits each table to make sure that the customers get the ultimate Turkish dining e

xperience where the customer is treated as a guest in his house. Kilicoglu is not new to the San Francisco gastronomic scene: since March, 2012 he was the co-owner of Troya Clement and contributed to it becoming a staple among Turkish restaurants in the Bay Area. He carefully crafted Kitchen Istanbul's menu to incorporate lots of traditional mezes (Turkish style appetizers), each with a distinct kick to represent a specific region in the Mediterranean area. Just a look at the main dishes will make your mouth water, no matter if you are a meat lover or a veggie lover. The desert menu has a life on its own spanning a wide variety from Turkish classics including Kunefe to French counterparts including Pot de Creme, both recipes dating back to 1700s. Kitchen Istanbul has a welcoming, cozy atmosphere where you can leisurely enjoy your wine while sampling delectable food that is guaranteed to be prepared with the care and love prescribed by the long history of the recipes.

Alright friends, we’ve got a wild one for you. Thursday July 31 we’ll be hosting a list takeover featuring selections from the deep cellars of We’re putting together a collection of the kinds of wines you can’t find anywhere at prices you’ll never see in a restaurant setting. The only catch is that we’ll have one bottle of each wine available. Chef has been adding some great summer-themed dishes to the menu to pair with whatever you’re lucky enough to snag from the list. Book soon, as this event will surely sell out, and if you want your pick of a litter, we’ll see you at 5pm.

On Wednesday July 9, we’ll be hosting a very special pop-up from Ian Gordon, executive sous chef , for the launch of his new project . Ian has crafted a killer seven-course menu of elevated Mexican street food highlighting local ingredients. We’ve also put together a wine pairing featuring stand-out bottles from some of our favorite producers. The menu price is $125, with the pairing an optional add-on for $75. We will be able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diners for this event, but due to the special nature of the menu, may not be able to accommodate all allergies and dietary restrictions. Please reach out directly if you have any questions. And come join us for what’s sure to be an incredible evening. Seats are limited for this one, so book sooner than later on 🙌
