Oasis Surf We’re Oasis, a kiwi-owned and operated surf store in Whangarei CBD. We're the place to be for all things surf, fashion, accessories, and coffee!

At Oasis we aim to be a one-stop-shop for all surfers and ocean lovers; whether it be in the water chasing waves or out of the water enjoying a bevy because after all - less time shopping means more time out in the ocean. We’ve created a funky space, housing some of the most iconic and trusted surf labels and some exciting new and more boutique ones. Our mission is simple: help uncover your inner explorer, for those who want to experience an endless summer all combined in a relaxed, fun, and interactive shopping experience. We’ve even added in an all-important Allpress coffee bar so our customers are ready to take on the day especially after a good dawny before work. The team at Oasis are a force to be reckoned with, a husband and wife duo, combining Derek’s passion for surfing and Rachelle’s extensive experience owning stores as the backbone of the business. We are also lucky enough to have amazing employees on board. Our manager holds nearly 10 years of experience working with many of the brands and our 2IC is a surfer from a well-respected family within the local surf community. We are stoked that with his skill set we will also be able to offer surfboard repairs as a service.

AN UPDATE

With our lease takeover not eventuating in the end I’ve made the decision to continue to trade as Embellish in store. We’ve had such positive feedback since our return to Whangarei I’ve decided to make a go of it. The store is a little large for Embellish but we’ve been making it work and to be honest I just see it as a challenge to turn it into something special and grow my brand in Whangarei.

I do have extra space so if there is a complimentary business that could possibly be interested in renting some space off me please get in touch OR I also have two lovely offices out back so if you’re after inner city office space/beauty treatment room this could be an option too. I’m open to expressions of interest and we can go from there.

Otherwise Trish and I are super excited to continue providing some gorgeous womenswear fashion, accessories, gifts and baby wear to Whangarei as Embellish.

And don’t forget we still have all remaining Oasis stock at HALF PRICE still. Our menswear has had a restock so there’s still lots to choose from!

Along with all New Season stock from my other business Embellish. Whilst my lease is being negotiated I’ve decided to bring Embellish back to Whangarei.

JUST A HEADS UP …

Our Clearance POP UP store is now closed.

Over the next week I’ll be changing things around in store for the arrival of some lovely EMBELLISH stock whilst my agent sorts my lease with an interested party.

The doors will re-open on Tuesday the 31st of March with some exciting new season ladies fashion.

We will also have all remaining Oasis stock still at half price.

THINGS TO COME …

So as you know our Oasis POP UP is underway. This will remain open this week to clear remaining stock. A huge thanks to all those who have come in and made a purchase.

WE’RE OPEN .. Tuesday to Friday 10am till 4pm and Saturday 9.30am till 2pm.

All stock is HALF PRICE.

As my lease is still under negotiation with an interested party. I’ve had to come up with a bit of a Plan B to hold me over. Yes not ideal … but now I have a plan of attack I’m going to just have some fun with it for as long as required.

I’ve got a few more things to organize to make it work so I’m not quite sure the exact date it’ll happen. But I’m thinking the week just before Easter all going well.

My plan is to bring in stock from EMBELLISH.

THIS WILL INCLUDE …

Flo & Frankie’s Clothing, Home decor and Accessories.
Sass
Junkfood
Adorne
Nature Baby and hopefully some Jamie Kay.
I’m also looking into some other labels to compliment.

SO LOTS OF …

Babywear and Gifts.
Just like the old Embellish store across the road.

We will do slightly shorter hours to limit overheads and unfortunately we won’t be doing coffee.

BUT the good news ladies is Trish has said yes to staying on and helping me out. Trish and I will man it and Vivi and Danae will hopefully help out too when they can.

OASIS stock will stay in store on one side and will remain HALF PRICE until it’s cleared and the EMBELLISH stock on the other side.

So watch this space for updates on when we will begin. Other than that I’ve got loads to organize.

UPDATE

Firstly just WOW! The response to my post about Trish was so incredible. She’s not on social media so I’ve passed on all your lovely comments. To say she was blown away with all the beautiful comments is an understatement. She definitely deserves all of it though as she really is an amazing woman and I’m super grateful to have had her in my Oasis and Embellish stores in Whangarei for the past 6 years.
She told me to tell you all a HUGE THANK YOU !

NOW FOR MY UPDATE … upon closing Oasis it seems unfortunately my lease still remains in the negotiation stage with an interested party. I was really hoping to have something more concrete in place and to be able to step away. However that’s not quite the case yet.

SO as of next week TUESDAY 10 MARCH we are opening the doors for a POP UP. All remaining stock will be HALF PRICE. There’s still lots to choose from.

SATURDAY - 9.30am till 2pm

CLOSED MONDAY & SUNDAY

Trish and I are just in the process of arranging the store and getting it ready for next week. And you’ll be pleased to know she’s still working in the pop up.

You are simply such a special person and I’m so blessed to have had you on the Oasis team as manager. Derek never got to see you manage his store but I know without a doubt he would have been so happy about it. Thank you so much for all you have given Oasis over the past few years!
