Monday dawned bright and clear in the Bay of Islands for our Whakatāne Sportfishing Club Junior Team.
After their success on Sunday, they found themselves surrounded by boats in their chosen fishing spot. With four hook-ups during the day, the girls and Malakai were unfortunately busted off in the rocks, while Taj managed to land a beautiful Yellowtail Kingfish weighing in at 15.75kg.
A huge thank you to skipper Greg Morgan of Opportunity II and deckie Hadley for putting the team onto the fish.
Today is a lay day and a well-deserved rest for our hard-fishing team before they head back out on the water.
Tight lines, team, from all of us here at the Whakatāne Sportfishing Club. Bay of Islands Swordfish Club (Inc)
