Folk Dust playing at The Star 2-5pm

We are FolkDust and are so thrilled to call Cape Foulwind home!

Our musical roots run deep while spanning oceans and mountain ranges. Sets ramble from familiar
Carol Dietrich and Marion “Weasel” Boatwright folk classics to ancient fiddle tunes. Original songs reflect our adventures from the Appalachian Mountains to The Old Ghost Road.

We absolutely delight in tight harmonies. With a huge repertoire and accompaniment on banjo, fiddle, guitar, bass and harmonica, we make every FolkDust performance unique. Quite simply, we play the music we love.

Music is our way of sharing time with neighbours

It was a privilege to host the award ceremony last Thursday for the National Outdoor Access Champion Award, presented to the Kawatiri Coastal Trail. It was a wonderful acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication from everyone who has helped shape the Trail into what it is today 😄

We are so excited to be opening for breakfasts on Saturdays and Sundays 8:30am starting tomorrow on Valentines day! These are some of our delicious house made goodies as well as bacon and egg rolls, eggs benne and pancakes 😄
