Meet The Team!

First up is our awesome Chef/Duty Manager, Sarah! Aka “Mum” (originally from Whanganui and Nelson) A nickname you will hear often from both staff and locals, she is a summit woman.
Joining The Cri in early Feb 2026 she comes with a vibrant personality and fresh ideas. Loving the opportunities brought to her and all the new connections made.
What is your favorite part of working at The Cri?
“Definitely the people, getting to know the locals and meeting the people traveling through. Not to mention the awesome events we have hosted.”
What was the best event so far you?
“King Kapisi has been the stand out event for me, he brought an awesome energy to The Cri and it was fantastic to see so many people enjoying themselves, he had such a great time here that he is coming back to The Cri, Mataraki Friday 10th of July (tickets on sale now)
Best advice you could give?
“Be Yourself, treat people how you want to be treated. A positive attitude and good sense of humor go a long way”
