Wild and Woolly in the wild again! This Saturday, August 10 at 14:00 LBQ will be hosting a special brewer's table event featuring four W&W beers with grazing platters to match, and the W&W head brewer (me) to talk you through them as you drink.

Three new beers and one old favourite:
Gelatinous Cube, an Amber Ale brewed with ridiculous quantities of rye and old-school American hops.
Efreet, a smoky, chili-infused, Moroccan spiced imperial stout
Ankheg, an amber hued mixed-ferment sour years in the making
Basilisk, the classic W&W citrus and mint Berliner weisse.
$50 per person, very limited quantities, so book your tickets while you can.

WIld and Funky beer lovers rejoice! Funk On The Water is this Sunday at the Boatshed in Wellington! As of writing, there are still a limited number of tickets left. Wild & Woolly has brewed two new(ish) beers exclusively for the event. Kuaka is a farmhouse-style brew inspired by Finnish Sahti. It was filtered through foraged Manuka boughs, not boiled, and fermented with 100% Brettanomyces. Tauhou is part two of a previous batch, a table saison flavoured with lemon and rosemary. Both are yummy funky fun!

W&W back in the wild! Four single-keg brews, for LBQ's Wild Wellington on a Plate. They'll be released at a special Brewer's Table event with four food pairings, next Saturday, May 20, 14:00-16:00. Headed to Beervana this weekend? You'll be able to try the first Wild and Woolly beer released into the wild in almost four years! Visit our friends at The Beer Engine to taste our collaboration: A delicious earthy, umami-ish mushroom and rosemary stout on hand pull. While you're there, have a chat with the crew and learn about their new brewpub/small scale contract brewery that will be opening soon in Titahi Bay!

As many of you will know, we sold our brew kit a couple of months ago. But that wasn't the end of Wild & Woolly Brews! This weekend at Pacific Beer Expo 2017 you'll be able to try a couple more:

Llama Llama Red Pyjama is a monstrous 13.5%abv strong red ale fermented with Belgian ale and red wine yeasts.

Nach Acht is a collab with our beloved brewery mate Tiamana, A milk chocolate peppermint stout. Smooth and tasty, good drinking at any time of the day :-)

It may be one of your last chances to try some of the Tiamana and Wild and Woolly Brewing beers from our King Street brewery, but the Tiamana & Wild & Woolly (FINAL) Tap Takeover at Basque Rooftop Bar this evening will be your first chance to try Llamonade, a bright, refreshing sour ale that's been hopped with Sorachi Ace and fresh Nelson Sauvin, THEN aged in a barrel for about 6 weeks. Come say hi and enjoy some brews!

An easy way for folks around the country to get their hands on some of the new W&W bottles. They're selling out fast, with only 20 bottles of From the Ashes left in the brewery now. For bricks and mortar fans, you can also purchase them at Hashigo Zake and Regional Wines, Beers and Spirits. A few other retailers around the country should also be taking deliveries of their stock shortly.

This unique collection of beers has just been released by Wild & Woolly. Grab a Cherry & Lavender Farmhouse Ale, a Barrel-Aged Sour, a Smoked-Malt IIPA, or just get all 3!

Hey everyone, it's been a long time coming, but (some) Wild and Woolly beers will finally be available in bottles. We're doing a special limited release of three different bottle conditioned 750ml beers. To celebrate we're doing a ticketed tasting at Regional Wines, Beers and Spirits next Friday, May 5. It's time for Hopstock 2017! Crafters & Co will be pouring Wild & Woolly's fresh hop brew starting today. A collaboration with Tiamana, we've created a hoppy beast of an IPA, featuring heaps of fresh green sticky Motueka and NZ Cascade in the hopback, then heaps more Nelson Sauvin as dry hops. Rawr!

Folks at Mountain Ales 2017 and Plimmerton School Craft Beer Fair 2017 today will be the first to taste Sooty Albatross, W&W's peat smoked imperial IPA. Smoke and Hops generally aren't good friends, but this 9.5%abv monster of a beer packed with dirty, resiny American hops is an exception!
