In the weekend we attended the Brewers Guild of NZ Beer Awards. We were totally humbled and so stoked to win the Award for best Packaging for our Seasonal Series.

Stinky Deluxe Double Dry Hop Hazy IPA received a Gold Medal and there were only 2 Golds given out in it's category. So to have 1 of the top 2 Hazy IPA's in the country on the back of winning the Smiths IPA comp is great validation for our brew team that we're on right track.

The craft beer isle is a very competitive place, so to have our packaging judged as the best in NZ was an amazing feeling.

Excited to announce New Zealands best NZIPA as judged by Smiths - Craft Beer House IPA Challenge! We were so humbled and stoked to win on the night.

This is our latest collab brew with thiefbrewing & Brew Moon Brewing Co

Lunar Effect NZIPA was our collab entry for the Smiths Craft Beer House IPA Challenge. Its a Hazy IPA with a nice dose of Nectaron, Riwaka and an experimental varity from NZ Hop Growers.

Some of you might have noticed work being done on our roof as you drive down Anderson Road. We're finally getting solar installed!

Aotea Solar is installing 75 pannels which will give us 33KW of electricity. This will provide 20% of our power needs. Brewing is a very energy intensive activity, so anywhere we can source, or use energy in a more sustainable way is good for us, the community, and the planet.

When we commissioned our brewery, we went with fully electric, so the plan was alway to be able to generate or recapture energy. We're always looking for ways to drive efficiency, and reduce our overall impact.

We're also going to be installing a CO2 recapturing system over the next few months which will capture the CO2 from our ferments so we'll be able to use this for carbonating our beer & kombucha.

We have added an epic Hazy to our range of h**p beers it's a dank, resinous, thick and super juicy hazy brewed with generous amounts of Motueka,Grapefruit crush and Pineapple Express along with Tropic Fusion.
