UPCOMING EVENT: Ring Making Workshop with on 6th May at Kai 🏔️

Join us as we welcome Aria, an Ōtepoti (Dunedin) based jeweller who will be hosting a creative evening of guided wax carving. You will be able to design, carve, and create your very own solid sterling silver or bronze ring. 💍

As the days get colder and the evenings get darker, this will be a special event to slow down, create something with your hands, and make a unique, hand-crafted piece of jewellery. Bring a friend, come solo, or gift this experience to a loved one.

Over three hours, Aria will guide you through the art of lost-wax casting using a variety of tools and techniques. No experience needed - just bring your creativity and curiosity. Once your workshop is done, your wax carving will be professionally cast, finished, polished, packaged and posted to you.

Spots are limited to 14, so pre-booking is essential. Grab your ticket via the link in our bio. Tickets include a drink of your choice and fries for the table.

Meet one of our Kai legends, Harry! Hailing over from the UK in early 2025, he’s been with us for just over a year. Harry shows up every day with a huge smile on his face - always bringing top notch energy and great laughs. If he’s not pouring pints, he’s got his running shoes on or skiing in the winter. Legend!

On Friday evening we have resident vinyl legend Nick Munday spinning some groovy, funk n soulful wax to kick off the weekend. Singer Songwriters Rachel Raditz (Canada) & Ronnie Holmes (UK) will bring some cozy, joyful tunes, and easy going vibes for our Sunday afternoon acoustic set. Look forward to seeing y’all over Waitangi Weekend!

Excuse our insta hiatus but we’ve been buuusy! Wow! Summer so far has yet again provided us with immaculate vibes and incredible humans, day in day out 🌞 we smashed our coffee record (911 but who’s counting), turned out countless breakkies, hosted some seriously talented local musicians, and kept the Aperol Spritz flowing. Let’s keep the good times rolling 🤙
