Good news!

We are back to full staffing capacity, and that means we are back open from Wednesday to Sunday for dining.

Reservations are a ‘must’ if you’re coming with FOUR or more.

This weekend - the special is Creole Gumbo.

Chicken, chorizo, seafood in a southern states style gravy with rice.

It’s a must try, and it’s only for this weekend while it lasts!!

Welcome to the Studholme Hotel

Tucked away, just off State Highway One - near the South Canterbury town of Waimate is the historic Studholme Hotel.

Opened in 1916 (following a fire that destroyed the original wooden hotel) this grand old Hotel has welcomed guests for over 100 years.

Situated almost exactly half-way between Christchurch and Dunedin the Studholme was built to service the busy railway junction here at Studholme.

Although the trains don’t stop today - you can! We have 5 restored rooms that were perfect for your next weekend away. Take in the nearby Waitaki River, the lakes of Aviemore, Waitaki and Benmore, or check out the local sites of Waimate.
