Waitetuna Wind Farm Trail Run The Waitetuna Wind Farm Trail Run is organized and run to raise money for improvements and additions to Waitetuna school.

The Waitetuna Wind Farm Trail Run is organized and run to raise funds for Waitetuna School. The 5th Anniversary event will be run on Saturday 19th November 2022. The event includes three trail lengths, 21km, which will see you pass through some of the Te Uku wind turbines, 10km, and 5 km. Every finisher will receive a stunning medal signifying the local area. This event is held on private farm lan

d, not usually open to the public. The terrain, in places, is tough but also offers stunning views from the top of the 21km track of the Raglan harbour and bar. All proceeds go towards improvements and additions to Waitetuna School. This will be a truly unique community event that we hope to build on in years to come. We are truly grateful to the Ormond family for the opportunity to run through their stunning landscape.

So long and thank you for the last 6 years.

Sadly, we have decided that 2022 was the last running of the Waitetuna Wind Farm Trail Run. Over the years we have loved meeting you and sharing our peaceful yet challenging trails with you all.

Your support has been invaluable to Waitetuna School, it’s tamariki/kids, and us, the Trail Run team. Your support of the Trail Run has helped with so many things that directly benefited Waitetuna school kids; like fixing the school pool, resurfacing the courts and helping to rebuild the school playgrounds.

We’d like to say one massive last thank you for your support and all the fun and muddy laughs.

To our awesome supporters, sponsors and volunteers from the last 6 years: you have been brilliant and the trail run simply wouldn’t have been a success without you. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone being so patient and waiting for this year's photos to go up - here are the first of them, at the most important spot - the finish line!

Our photographers (just like the rest of us!) are all volunteers who give their time to the Trail run. They had a few technical hitches this year so it's taken a while to get the photos processed.

We have more to add from out on the trails once processing is complete.
