Descended from German immigrant Hans Eggers who settled in the Moutere Valley over 150 years ago, father and son team and 5th and 6th generation hop growers Mike and Kem Eggers continue on the family tradition. 🔥🔥 Kem Eggers, distinguished horticulturalist and Co-Owner of Eggers Hops, gave us the chance to brew with their Full Moon Harvest hops this year. We produced a West Coast IPA, 6.6% Alc/Vol. What sets these hops apart is that they’re picked at midnight under the glow of a full moon, lunar eclipse, or blood moon at one of their farms in Moutere, NZ. While research is still limited, this lunar harvesting is thought to boost the plant’s water and sugar content, reduce stress, and amplify both sensory intensity and shelf life., these hops smell incredible This beer bursts with aromatics of blackberry kush, tzimbalo pear-melon, and bright fruity hints reminiscent of Vinho Verde. Get your hands on some!
