It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Life Member Colin Gething.

Colin was a highly respected and valued member of the Upper Hutt Cossie Club for many years. During his long association with the Club, he served in numerous leadership roles including Executive Member, Treasurer, and President. In recognition of his outstanding service and dedication, Colin was awarded Life Honorary Membership. Colin also continued to serve the Club as a Trustee and remained actively involved in Club life for many years.

Colin's commitment, wisdom, and passion for the Club have left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by members, staff, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our sincere condolences are extended to Colin's family and friends at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Colin.

Huge night at the Cossie! Thanks to everyone for coming out for the Rugby, Warriors and the Fleetwood Mac fundraiser!

Huge ups to the team for turning out and doing the mahi, you have done us proud.

We're proud to support an initiative that turns something as simple as aluminium can recycling into hundreds of meals for local families every week.

A huge congratulations to the team behind this kaupapa and to everyone involved in collecting more than 30,000kg of cans. The impact is extraordinary — helping provide enough kaimoana for over 500 family meals each week.

It's inspiring to see what can be achieved when organisations, businesses, and individuals work together, value resources, and support one another for the benefit of the wider community.

We're honoured to play a small part alongside so many generous people and organisations making a real difference across our region.

On behalf of everyone at the Upper Hutt Cossie Club, we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Charlie.

Charlie was a highly respected Past President and Life Member whose contribution to the Club will never be forgotten. During his time with the Club, he oversaw significant change and growth, always with a strong sense of commitment, leadership, and care for the membership and wider community.

His support extended well beyond our own Club, supporting other clubs both locally and nationally. Charlie’s dedication to clubland and the people within it earned him enormous respect and lasting friendships.

He will be greatly missed by many, but his legacy and influence will forever remain part of the fabric and history of our Club.

Our thoughts are with Lynn and his family at this difficult time.

Happy Sunday morning everyone!

As you maybe aware we are doing a project with Studio C to look at where we are as a club, and where we need to go. This includes everything from culture to activities and the facilties.

Thanks to everyone who has so far responded to our Member survey, your responses have been great. We also want to seek the thoughts, ideas and suggestions of non-members about what they would like the club to be like and what they would want in order to join.
