Just an update on alfresco dining options at the Hydro Bar.

1 - Gavin's soggy microwaved pies, 3 year expired pizzas in a packet and some other charred air fried rubbish with freezer burn.

2 - Ollies Cave Kitchen with magnificent pizzas, tacos, burgers, loaded fries etc - also with deliveryeasy.

3 - Joan's Kai on the Fly whitebait fritters, paua patties, burgers, and all your comfort food requirements as well as COFFEE!

And new to the "gravel pit", an old Timaru favourite:

4 - Rasa Asia Rasa Asia NZ - no need for an explanation here, your local destination for fresh, flavour packed Asian cuisine in the heart of Timaru.

No real need to leave home now - bring a sleeping bag or a swag and park up for a few days.

With the hydro lakes officially full, it felt only right to open the Hydro Bar early. 4:30 it is — call it flood management.

3 great men passed away on this day, in 2005, 2016 and 2020.

Diego Maradona and George Best were arguably two of the best to ever play "the beautiful game" as well as rivaling each other in the ability to consume vast amounts of booze, drugs, women etc.

Fidel Castro was a not bad mechanic from memory who dabbled in a bit of Marxism–Leninism in his spare time.

Could it be Gavins day to die today? Find out at the Hydro from midday, Cave Kitchen will also be open for pizzas, tacos etc.

Gavin is opening at 12:00pm today to hopefully lure people that don't need to work in to spend their ethereum etc. With that being down 24% in the past month, it's also a good time to accept the loss and drown your sorrows. Win win?

Cave Kitchenis also open, and a much better bet to spend money here if you're on a budget.
