We are incredibly sad to hear of the passing of our friend and long-time regular, John Hastie.

John could often be found perched around the leaner, Guinness in hand perhaps followed by a cheeky Jameson’s sharing a story.

We feel pretty privileged that over the years we got to be the ones to pour some of his favourite things, hear plenty of his stories, share plenty of laughs and provide a familiar place for him to pull up a stool.

Storyteller won’t feel quite the same without him around the leaner.

To Kate, Wizard and all of John’s family, we are sending much love.

And to Hastie,thank you for the stories, the laughs and the many Guinnesses shared within these walls.

There’ll always be a spot for you around our leaner. 🤍

Rest easy, Hastie.
We’ll raise a Guinness (and a cheeky Jameson’s) for you. 🍺🥃
