This morning Otto (aged 7) completed his first Taupō parkrun alongside his dad and uncle - the heart of our Pillar, the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club.

This is Pillar to Pou in action.

William Waiirua - Boosting Moraale at Pillar to Pou 2026.

We're stoked to have William Waiirua joining the Pillar to Pou event in 2026.

As a full time "Moraale Booster", William will bring his humour, energy, and entertainment to Pillar to Pou, sharing his passion for running with everyone involved.

With his daily running streak now at 2,234 days in a row and counting, William has proven that consistency, resilience, and a large serving of humour can take you far - literally.

We cannot wait to welcome William Waiirua - "opening our gates" to the Pillar to Pou event in 2026, and we are sure he will be "opening his gates" to everyone in attendance, both on and off the course.
