Today we’re handing over this page to new owners and it feels like the right time to say a big thank you.
To all our locals and everyone around who turned up last weekend — your support meant the world. The smiles, the chats, and the happiness in the room made it so special. It’s been an absolute pleasure to serve this community for the last 11 years. Through the good times and the tough ones, you’ve been there for us, and we’re truly grateful.
This chapter is closing, but new doors are opening. Life’s hard decisions have brought some fresh options my way. We are so proud, walking away with a truckload of beautiful memories.
A very special mention to my wife Leiana — my biggest strength and rock. She has worked 24/7 alongside raising our kids, handling all the chores, and quietly supporting the business behind the scenes. She has always backed me up, no matter what. None of this would have been possible without her.
I have tears in my eyes writing this post.
To all the locals and wonderful people who’ve supported us over the years — you made Southbridge Hotel feel like home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We’ll miss seeing you all. Take care, stay happy, and keep looking after each other and your pets.

A heartfelt thank you from Southbridge Hotel ❤️
After 11 incredible years, the time has come to say goodbye.
We want to thank every single one of our loyal customers and extended family who have supported us through thick and thin. From the good times to the tough ones — especially during COVID — your continued support is what carried us through and brought us this far. We couldn’t have done it without you.
A massive thank you also to every staff member who has worked with us over the past 11 years. Each and every one of you has played a part in the story of Southbridge Hotel. We’ve shared laughs, overcome challenges, and created so many memories together.
It was a very hard decision to put the Southbridge Hotel on the market — something we never thought we’d do. But time teaches you things, and this chapter has now come to an end. We’re proud to hand it over to the new owners who take over on Monday 18th May. We wish them all the very best and know the place will be in good hands. Southbridge Hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We’re not going far though! You’ll still find us at Coalgate Tavern or Springfield Hotel, so please don’t be strangers — pop in anytime for a chat and a “G’day”.
One last celebration together!

Join us this Saturday 16th May for live music starting from 9pm. Come along, have a drink, enjoy the music, and help us say a proper farewell.
We arrived in 2015 during Southbridge’s Town 150 Years Jubilee, and we’re leaving in 2026 during the Southbridge Rugby 150th Jubilee. So many achievements and memories packed into that time.

🍻 Perfect timing for Easter weekend! 😏
Great news — the laws around food & beverage have changed today, so it’s business as usual with no surcharge and no restrictions.
We’re open from 11am all Easter weekend.
It’s awesome timing with Southbridge Rugby’s 150th Jubilee on — we don’t want to take anyone away from the big celebrations, but if you fancy popping down to the pub for a cold one on the way to events, you’re very welcome!
Tomorrow night, catch the Crusaders taking on the Fijian Drua live on the big screen, kick-off 7:05pm. Come in, grab a Jug or Big Bottle, and cheer them on! 🏉🍺
