Tip of the Day.

Take your horse to where you know they are going to want to go to esp if they are feeling the need to get to their friends.

Don't practise having them leave you in a hurry.

Later on you can create further distances away, the stronger your relationship gets the less likely they are to want to leave in a hurry to get to their friends. Marli and I are still developing that relationship whilst she settles in, she is here for grazing and training so has joined my herd of horses.

He's not yet ready to have it plaited but have just worked out a way for him to be able to see and it's made a huge difference. ♥️😜

Anyone else feeling inspired now it's officially spring? It's been blowing a gale here for the past two days so I've been wrapped up warm in my WeatherBeeta AUS & NZ jacket, and I bought myself a new pair of Dublin Clothing Australia & NZ boots.

I've officially put my own horses back on my training agenda in preparation for Equifest which isn't far away and I plan to bring them along to some of my clinics also.

My current goal is to get these two Kaimanawa boys going solidly enough we can showcase what they have been learning. I feel I might need to do some more work on keeping them clean however as they are currently muddy and hairy 🤦.

They have been learning the ropes of working side by side and now we are starting to play with working independently - it's challenging managing two quite different personalities but I'm learning heaps as I muddle along not quite sure what I'm doing but following my intuition and using my liberty foundations with one horse and making it work for two.
