From the moment she joined the team, Solene has been the calm in the chaos, the steady hand during the busiest services, and someone we could always count on no matter what the day threw at us.

Incredibly hardworking, endlessly loyal, and always giving 100%, she has been such a huge part of our restaurant and team culture. Behind the scenes she made everything look effortless.

We’re going to miss her calm presence, her dedication, and simply having her around more than words can say.

Today we raise a glass as we say goodbye to Arran on his last day behind the bar at The Fork and Tap.

If you've spent any time here, you'll know Arran for his incredibly dry sense of humour — the kind where you’re never quite sure if he’s joking… until five minutes later. Along with his ability to deliver a one-liner with a perfectly straight face, he’s also been our resident encyclopedia of all things beer. Need a recommendation? Want to know the difference between styles, hops, brewing methods, or obscure craft beers? Arran had the answer.

He’s poured countless pints, shared endless knowledge, kept us entertained, and become a big part of what makes this place what it is.

We’ll miss the banter, the beer chats, and the unique Arran-style customer service more than we can say.

Pop in today to wish him well as he continues his travels around the World.
